Virtina won a project from a company in Pennsylvania, United States. The client is a leading manufacturer of coolant tubes for a range of vehicles. The client also manufactures high-quality truck parts and accessories. The parts are created to the highest standards in their workshop.
The company was looking to migrate their eCommerce store from an old platform to Magento 2. The migration was necessary to accommodate the higher traffic and growing sales. The earlier platform did not offer adequate functionalities to support the increasing traffic. Also, it did not hold essential features to scale the store, if the brand ever wished to expand their business.
Aside from this, the client wanted to incorporate a new theme that would reflect their identity more accurately. Also, they asked for the theme to be mobile-friendly.
Alongside this, the client wanted to configure Paytrace as a payment gateway on the site. Paytrace would add to the already existing PayPal and Authorize.net payment gateway capabilities on their Magento store.
Another challenge the client faced was concerning shipping. The client wished to implement dimensional shipping. In dimensional shipping, the client would consider the dimensions and the weight of the consignment to arrive at the final price.
Beyond this, the client wished to handle invoice labels, shipping labels from the admin, tracking issues, PDF reports, manage additional handling, package slips, etc. They wanted a custom integration that would streamline and simplify their delivery channel.
Further, the client asked for QuickBooks Desktop Integration. This would permit the client to connect their Magento2 store with QuickBooks Desktop.
To overcome the shipping challenge, we used an extension called Infomodus dimensional shipping. The extension served as a powerful tool to eliminate the client's shipping management woes. The extension offered both UPS and FedEx support – thus, the client could ship via both and streamline their fulfillment process.
The integration of the dynamic new theme proved to appeal and attract customers. Further, from this, it improved the retention time of the customers that landed on the store.
The addition of the Paytrace payment gateway enabled more payment options for their customers at the Checkout. As such, the astute Magento experts in Virtina addressed and solved the client's website challenges. The work done resulted in a far superior, seamless, and robust website than the one before.
